Toyota assembly plant in Ghana
Toyota Tsusho Manufacturing Ghana Co. Limited (TTMG) has achieved a significant milestone by becoming the first Japanese company to commence vehicle assembly in the Republic of Ghana. The assembly plant is strategically located in the Ghanaian city of Tema, which is approximately 30 kilometers from the capital, Accra.

- Vehicle Assembly: TTMG has initiated vehicle assembly by producing Toyota Motor Corporation’s Hilux pickup truck. This marks a historic moment for Japanese companies in Ghana.
- Suzuki Swift Assembly: In addition to the Hilux, TTMG has ambitious plans to start semi-knocked-down (SKD) production of Suzuki Motor Corporation’s Swift compact car from 2022.

- Collaboration with Suzuki: The planned SKD production of the Suzuki Swift compact car is based on a collaboration agreement between Toyota and Suzuki, further strengthening and expanding the alliance between Toyota Tsusho and Suzuki.
